The name Between Smoke & Shadow came to me through a dream.
Two Great Dane guardians appeared Smoke, the pathfinder who clears the unseen way, and Shadow, the loyal protector at my side. Together, they represent the energy of Hekate, the keeper of thresholds. Their presence reminds me that even when the path feels uncertain, I am guided and protected. When you visit this space, they walk beside you, too.

In another dream, four animal spirits appeared: the Crane, Turtle, Bear, and Alligator. They embody the four directions and elements air, earth, water, and fire weaving balance into all that unfolds here. These spirits represent the fertile, nurturing force of Leto, grounding my work and guiding the stories, decks, and rituals you’ll find throughout this site.
